The third "In The Nudist Colony" Anthology
Early in 2020, naturist fiction author P. Z. Walker had the idea for a collection of mystery stories to be called “Murder in the Nudist Colony,” deliberately using the antiquated term “nudist colony” for a slightly retro, humorous touch. I put together the call for submissions, posted it on Twitter and they came. Writers, some established naturist fiction authors, some imaginative non-naturists and some new writers came forward. Robert Longpré set up the structure to share documents as well as the ISBN registered by Retired Eagle Books. Fabien Barabé designed the cover. We had fifteen submissions within a relatively quick timeframe. Then Will Forest and I set about the editing. Robert and Paul massaged the stories into a consistent format and …
Mad as the original idea seemed, it worked. Books were sold and money raised for our chosen charity. Just as well, 2020 turned out to be one long health crisis.
It was followed by a second book Romance in the Nudist Colony.
The project has been a strong example of an online community working together. It had also been so much fun many of the writers were badgering Will and I to do a follow up.
This is the third volume of the “In the Nudist Colony” series, a holiday, actually a series of holidays.
This new anthology contains thirteen shining new stories for you to immerse yourself in.
The nudist “colony” as a setting, dates back to “Cool Cottontail” a book by John Ball, eighth in the series he wrote about the detective Virgil Tibbs. As with all the Virgil Tibbs books from “In the Heat of the Night” onward racial prejudice is a part of the narrative.
In this third collection I think we have continued to address many of the other prejudices Virgil would have experienced.
In this collection we celebrate holidays, real and imagined, encompassing almost every month of the year. The stories in this collection share expressions of the love of life, the love of clothes-free living and acceptance of difference.
Slip into something comfortable and enjoy!

Early in 2020, naturist fiction author P. Z. Walker had the idea for a collection of mystery stories to be called “Murder in the Nudist Colony,” deliberately using the antiquated term “nudist colony” for a slightly retro, humorous touch. On social media platforms, mostly Twitter, other folks associated with the fine network of naturist authors chimed in. Ted Bun put together the call for submissions, Robert Longpré set up the page to share documents as well as the ISBN, Fabien Barabé designed the cover… and we’ve ended up with fifteen submissions within a relatively quick timeframe. Will Forest and Ted Bun volunteered to edit. The project has been a strong example of an online community working together! The nudist “colony” as a setting for a murder mystery ... And, this collection has it all! Stories set all over Europe and the Americas and beyond? Check. Naked murder victims? Check. Oddly clothed murder victims? Check. Victims murdered at the nudist resort? Check. Victims murdered elsewhere and then brought to the nudist resort? Check. Nudist murderers? Check. Non-nudist murderers? Check. Gendarmes, constables, cops and miscellaneous support folks who have to get naked to do their jobs at the nudist resort? Check. Same, but who choose to get naked at the nudist park? Check. And a long list of etceteras – you get the idea: theme and variations. It all makes for a very entertaining read! And of course, like any good collection of mysteries, there are red herrings, bizarre details, spectacular suspense, gruesome finds, intriguing characters, oddly plausible motives, and much, much more! Get ready to be knocked off your bare bottom by some stellar stories! All the proceeds from this anthology will go to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).

The nude romance collection of this or any other year!
A worthy addition to the canon of naturist literature. Seventeen writers, eighteen stories, all with a common objective: portraying a romance at a naturist venue somewhere in the modern, Western world. Young love, love between seniors, love twixt people who have just met, the rekindling of old loves, laments for loves lost. They are all included. Naturist fiction is a relatively new genre where social nudism and casual nudity play a significant role in plot, character, setting, and/or conflict in the story. For this volume, a follow-up anthology to Murder in the Nudist Colony, the challenge was to take a traditional plot—that of a romance—and have the setting be a nudist colony, or as many now call them, a naturist park or resort.
Does the setting change the rules of such a story, or the nature of the characters involved, or the plot? That is a question to be answered by you, the reader, once you have read these stories. You will be pleasantly surprised. All proceeds will go to Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders.
